Objective
This program is designed to train people to install, repair, modify and maintain circuits, electrical and electronic systems and communication networks on building machinery in the manufacturing, institutional and industrial sectors.
Program
- Prevent health, safety and physical harm on construction sites
- To situate oneself with regard to the trade and the training process
- Use a computer
- Check the voltage, current and power of electrical circuits
- Draw a sketch of an installation and an electrical circuit diagram
- Use tools
- Work at heights and handle equipment
- Install electrical conduits and cables
- Install residential branch circuits and their protective devices
- Interpret plans, specifications, technical manuals and maintenance procedures
- Perform installation and maintenance of three-phase transformers
- Install and maintain emergency power and service connections
- Verify the operation of electronic circuits
- Verify relay and integrated circuit logic of electrical and electronic circuits
- Install and maintain a lighting system
- Install and maintain a heating system
- Install copper and fiber optic communication cables
- Install a fire alarm system
- Install home automation and residential telephone systems
- Install and maintain single-phase AC and DC rotating machines and their controls
- Install and maintain three-phase AC rotating machinery and controls
- Install and maintain a programmable logic controller for electrical systems of building machinery
- Install and maintain electronic instrumentation for electrical building machinery systems
- Prepare for the job market
