Objective
The purpose of this program is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to perform correctly and with acceptable performance, upon entering the workforce, the tasks and activities inherent in bricklaying-masonry, i.e., cutting, sawing, laying with mortar, cement or any other adhesive, as well as drawing joints of the following pieces of masonry: various types of bricks, stones, blocks, refractory materials, architectural precast concrete, as well as the installation of rigid insulation and the welding of anchoring devices.

- To situate oneself with regard to the trade and the training process
- Prepare and spread mortars
- Erect scaffolding
- Lay blocks and bricks in line
- Erect block and brick corners
- Interpret plans and specifications
- Build and repair simple block and brick structures
- Erect complex masonry structures
- Perform simple welding and flame cutting
- Build and repair prefabricated structures
- Cut and lay natural and artificial stone
- Build and repair chimneys and stove bases
- To situate oneself with regard to the work and techniques related to refractory
- Adapt to the work environment in bricklaying and masonry
